Hi, I am running windows XP pro SP2, and I installed the microsoft
antispayware beta.
the product looks very nice, and it detected a spyware program at first run.

But I tried to start my LDAP program, which is a freewqare program using
java....
When I tried to start the program (lbe.bat) a popup windows appeared on my
screen.....But the windows scrolled over my screen.....from the right bottom
corner to the right upper corner....and dissappeared out of my
windows.....?????? and nothing happened........
I tried to open the LDAP browser a couple more times, and every time, the
popup window scrolled bye......without giving me a change to read what was
actually in the popup.....
So I made a screenshot of the active window when I it scrolled over my
screen, and guess what.....
It was an microsoft antispyware alert.....!

I said that the file LBE.bat was being executed.....and if I would like to
allow or block it...

I run the program a couple more times, trying to hit the allow button as it
came bye, but it just went to fast..... So I decided to uninstall the
program......

Hopes this helps in creating a better program.

Regards,

Dennis Appelboom

Thanks for the report. I believe this is one issue which is connected with
having the task bar in a position other than the bottom of the screen.

If this fits your situation, I can assure you that this behavior has been
observed and is on the list of items to fix!

My taskbar is on the left of the screen and covers 50% of the screen
when not autohid; glad to see this will get fixed.

Yes--it is definitely already bugged and in the works.

I have the same problem of the Microsoft Anti-Spyware
popups scrolling off the screen. It goes from bottom to
top, as well as, top to bottom sometimes.
OS: Windows 2000 with all the updates, of course.

Mark--is your task bar set someplace other than at the bottom of the screen?

If so, this is a known issue, and is being worked on.

Hi Dennis,
Windows XP SP2 and all auto updates.
Task bar at bottom of screen set to auto-hide.
Some alert popups appear from bottom right of screen
scrolling back downwards too quick to read.
Once, while Antispyware open, popup appeared in middle of
screen - "Items... in red.. need your attention.." - but
was gone before I could read any more.

BTW: One scan identified something called rbot worm. But,
from what I can gather, that should have been taken care
of by previous Windows updates. Any ideas?

Regards, Colin.

I have a similar problem when I install new apps. Yes,
my taskbar is always on left side of the screen...maybe
I'll temp. move it during any next installs and see if
that fixes the problem.

It should--and I'm sure this will get fixed, but when we'll see the fix I've
no idea.
