I work with clients that are way behind the technology curve. Their
systems are about 4-5 years old all running XP SP2. I'm looking for a
product that will do anti-virus and anti-spyware. I need something
with a small footprint that won't bog down the system. Any suggestions?

Microsoft's free Windows Defender antispyware program:

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx

Antivirus programs that I use and that I install for my clients:

NOD32: http://www.eset.com
Avast: http://www.avast.com

Nick, I've found that the best anti-virus that does not bog down the system
is Trend Micro's PC-cillin. I use it on older, slower PCs and the
performance hit is only slightly noticeable.

www.trendmicro.com

What's also great about PC-cillin is that if you are in a situation where
you don't need your antivirus, say battery powered on an airplane, when you
disable it you get ALL of your performance back!

You can get pc-cillin bundled with other system tools with V-COM's
SystemSuite
www.v-com.com

If you don't already know, Symantec's antivirus is the worst CPU hog there
is.
