Scanning stops when it reaches Registry keys scanned #6317

The animation continues, but it continues to show this
registry key as being scanned. It is difficult or
impossible to stop this except by turning the power off.
The "X" and "close" don't work.
I need help or should I throw it away.

Boot into Safe Mode (press F8 during boot/reboot). Go to
advanced options (F8 on my system) and choose Safe Mode
(NO network connections).

Run a full system scan.

The files might have been in use in Normal Mode.
