Thanks - that does sound like something didn't get uninstalled
correctly--those popups are pretty distinctive--not much chance you were
confusing them with something else.
I did an upgrade to, I think, NIS2006 on a system with Microsoft Antispyware
in place today. It wasn't very speedy (which is why the user called me for
help)--but it went smoothly, including liveupdate and a full scan with the
antivirus.
Glad you got it cleaned up, anyway.
