I finally got the answer to how to delete e-mail In Windows Mail when you get
that error message.
1) Click on the e-mail you want to delete
2) Hold down the Shift key
3) Hit the delete key
4) A window will ask you if you're sure you want to permanently delete
the(se) message(s)
5) Click OK and it is gone. It won't even go to the Delete folder.

If you want to delete more than one, hold down the Ctrl key, select an
e-mail, then select any other e-mail you want to delete, then go through the
rest of the steps.

TA DA!!

If any messages can't be deleted, apply this Microsoft fix:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090

Although that article only mentions Outbox, it works for all mail folders.

The KB941090 article contains additional suggested fixes for
when the primary fix fails. However, those fixes are very
tedious and labor-intensive, and they don't guarantee that
the problem will not recur. I recommend you upgrade to
Windows Live Mail: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

Good to hear it is fixed.
Actually, Steve's response was in your other thread.
In the future it is best to limit it to one thread per issue.
