i dont have a floppy drive
can I store the answer file on CD?
How do I tell the OS CD to look for that file?

Before you can get a specific answer, it might be a good idea to give some
idea of what program you are running that has some file called "answer file"
that it's looking for on your non existent floppy drive. Basically you're
asking the "My car won't start, why not?" type question.
