All the initial ones came to me at once, but a new one came available
last night: KB951978, having to do with various sorts of Scripts (VB,
J, W, etc.). http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951978

This one, as far as I can see, is not a security update. Everything I see
says last rev date 8.14.2008.

So--I've no idea why this was offered for your system last night--are you on
XP? I tried downloading the Vista version and got a message that the update
wasn't applicable to my system--probably because I am running the public
beta of SP2 for Vista, and this fix is likely already included.

No issues with it at all. I really haven't noticed anything about
it--positive or negative. Looking at the lists of what is included, the
change that I thought might be noticable for my users is an improvement in
WIFI behavior after sleep--i.e. better power management functionality. I'm
not sure I have noticed an improvement, though!

I've got it running on both my home machines--a desktop (with no wifi) and a
laptop (which uses wifi at home, and wired in the office)--the laptop
frequently used to require disabling and then enabling the WIFI adapter to
connect after bringing it home from the office. I'm frankly not sure that
this behavior has changed...

I've got it on 3 desktops and a laptop at work, and have had no reports of
anyone noticing anything different. (They should--'cause it tattoos the
screen in the lower right corner--but nobody has even mentioned that!)

I read that it removes some drivers after install and some programs might
not work yet because they are not updated yet for sp2.
I need this vista laptop for my seminars so I do not want to play around
with it and put sp2 on it yet until it is more stable
