I have read and tried all the information contained here in the general
discussion section. I accidently moved the task bar from the bottom of my
screen. I moved it all over the place trying to get it repostioned to no
avail. It finally got to the top of my screen and now I can resize it but
not move it back to the bottom or anywhere else for that matter. Also I keep
seeing, "reply to newsgroup". Where do I find this mentioned "newsgroup"?

Have you tried this:

Right click your task bar and make sure the "lock task bar" is not checked,
if it is, uncheck it.
Then all you have to do is click and drag your task bar toward the bottom of
the page, and it will stick to the bottom. If you want to prevent it from
happening again, lock it when it gets there.

discussion group (XP taskbar desktop_fixall)and it did in fact fix my
problem. I now have it locked down to prevent another occurance. Would
still like to find the newsgroup for this group mentioned here.

Hi Gary,

You are already "in" the newsgroup talked about, only you are accessing it
through the awful web-interface. Here is part of a post from MS-MVP Malke

Once you access these newsgroups through a newsreader, you'll wonder how you
*ever* did it any other way.
Good luck.

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...dowsxp.general

The above link might open OE to this news group. It's much easier to
scroll through the messages once they're downloaded to your computer;
it's similar to the advantage of an email client, such as OE, over web mail.
