My XP machine has multiple users.

Some users see the volume icon on the screen in its normal place in
the lower right bar. Others don't. The ones that don't can get sound,
but not, say from U tube for example. They can properly play an mp3!

How do I correct this problem so the sound icon shows on the users
where it is missing? That seems to be intrinsic to accessing sound
from U tube.

Maybe I'm missing something completely, though, which is why I am
asking here!

TIA

Phil

Thanks. Problem was that the computer settings defaulted away from the
sound card, if that makes any sense.
