Ok...WHY is the Task Pane (the one that appears on the right) called a Task Pane when there are never Tasks listed there?

Is there a way (in the real Task folder) to create a timed reminder? Like...Hey Rob..today is Weds. remember to change this or that. ? I don't want scheduled events to happen just a reminder to complete a task...is there such an animal?

Also how come (in the real Task thingie) there is a % of "doneness"...how do you tell it you're 50% done? (I'm the only user) all I ever see is Completed or Never Started.

Thanks.
R.

As for the reminder,

Go here and download Stickies.
http://www.btinternet.com/~tom.revell/

You can create a Sticky and "Put it to sleep"
with a specific day and time to wake up and remind
you. If you "Pin it" It will stay on top of whatever
page you have open.
Also if you have a "network" and have Stickies
installed on the other machines you can send a sticky
to another computer.

We use it here all the time.

Exactly.

The story I heard is they wanted to call it the Nontask
pane, but the word Nontask is copyrighted in Bulgaria.
It's a stew of some kind.

They also considered calling it the Jobs pane, but there
was some kind of trademark issue with that name as well.

One word: Outlook.

If you:

1. Right-click a task.
2. Choose Start Task.
3. Change the page.
4. Save the page.
5. Answer No to "Do You Want To Mark The Task
As Completed?"

the status will change to In Progress.
