Hi,

I have a user who is logging onto our server from another domain.
There is no vpn involved so I can’t map a printer to the other domains
private IPaddress.
I got the user to tick the "printers" tick box in the local resources tab,
installed it as a local printer and made it the default but the printer will
not appear.
The printer is a HP LJ 2430dtn. I have got their IT department to install
the latest drivers which has made no difference.
The event viewer displays the following message:

Driver HP LaserJet 4000 Series PCL 5e required for printer __chafps_PSS is
unknown. Contact the administrator to install the driver before you log in
again.

I did as the message asked and installed the 4000 series driver (As above)
but it still displays the same message.

Thanks in advance,

Terry

I tried reinstalling the drivers on the server and the printer appeared.

Printer now works fine
