I know I might be stirring up a storm here.

But I am almost finished with windows Vista. It is awkward, backward,
non-user-friendly, buggy, temperamental, time consuming, incompatible, slow,
overly bling, useless, a step in the wrong direction, typically Microsoft,
totally screwed, driver hell, aggravating, illogical, completely corrosive
to data, tries to be to much in one, attempts to remove any intelligence
from the user, turns coffee cold, brings out the grey hair, totally
detrimental to any finger nails I once possessed, causes major brain
hemariging, short term memory loss, etc...

It gives the same effect of mixing a volatile acid with a base...
Like to sound of finger nails running down a blackboard, or polystyrene
rubbing against itself...
The fact that there is really not one unique idea in it... just a collection
of reinvented ones...

Every grain of its being is pointless...why fix something that isn't
broke...

Yet another way for Microsoft to stay at the top of the OS list I say...

I think it is about time the released a service patch to bring it to a level
where we can all stop posting silly queries.

The squeaky wheel get the oil, but the louder it sqeaks, the faster it gets
oiled.

If more people sent in bug reports and feedback, then maybe issues
experienced by the *silent majority* would get as much attention.

Sometimes certain things don't even get looked into until later, just
because not enough people botherred to tell MS.

Before your grey hair turns white, can you list your bugs, so some of us can
try to do something about them?

Works just fine for me.
Vista Ultimate
Clean install on a Core 2 Duo machine with 1 gb of RAM.
Faster than XP Pro on the same machine, in a dual boot scenario with each OS on it's own
drive.

Uhm... I possibly could and take the whole day to type them out.

Small examples...
-runtime errors produced by side bar.
-the over visualized settings windows and the amount of them.
-once disk clean has been run and hibernate cleaner files are removed,
hibernate is no longer an option unless revived by command console.
-task bar has residual images left on it.
-buttons have lines through them to only disappear upon a refresh.
-it has to verify almost everything I do, like I didn't know what I wanted
to do in the first place.
-everything has to be set almost 10 times in various places.
-power management is nothing desirable, interface and the out come.
-screen settings are backward.
-for the first time in a long time task manager plutzed.
-feels like you have less control over your PC.
-constant hdd activity for what?
-cpu goes from 0% - 100% whilst doing nothing apparent.
-creating a new connection is harder than that of an win95 system.
-explorer is trying to be mo Firefox.
-the huge install spread across my hdd that leaves no option for a later
partition.
-why is my computer locked when I log out and yet have no password(a simple
click seems to unlock, hmm...)
-a stupid 1-5 ratting on the total system. So I got a 3 and this means I
should be able to do this...ya right.
-when your mouse pointer is a few pixels off a close button it still stays
luminescent, yet a click does nothing.
-less than informative "unexpected error" messages.
-less than desirable and changed control panel. What was wrong with the old
one? Also why does it doubt itself so much, "did this control panel run
properly?" If I select no will it get a spanking?

Dunno... maybe today is just a bad day for me and comps. Usually have all
the time in the world for them. Just its pushing my buttons, shouldn't it
be the other way around?

Ok. Official apology. I am sorry for ATEMPTING to slander vista.
Just it always leaves me wishing there was a "PRETENED TO BE WINDOWS XP"
button on my desktop.

On another note... what is it with big technology companies and under
testing products nowadays... I mean have you purchased a Nokia cellular
phone lately or tried getting the latest one. Next day there is another and
it is just as under tested.

Why do you expect perfection when you cannot even spell or punctuate
correctly?

You have found yourself too close to the bleeding edge; it happens with
every major new release of programs, OS or otherwise. This has been true
since computing began. Next time (assuming you can defer or choose) use
established technology that has been bled over by others.

Why don't you try a sensible operating system like Ubuntu? You can check
it out at http://www.ubuntu.com/ and they will even send you a free Live
CD for you to try it out without installing it. It's free; you can copy
it and install it on as many machines as you like. Say goodbye to WPA,
WGA/N/T, viruses and malware.
