I don't know too much about it other than they identified a bug in active
sync for exchange and Exchange released a hotfix for the server and we're
waiting for a fix for non-exchange users. I've asked about the status a few
times and no one knows- possibly because it will come from activesync, not
outlook (and I don't have contacts in activesync/mobile area).
If you avoid editing appointments on the device it may fix the problem for
future events but AFAIK, you can't fix old events- you'll need to redo them.
Also, setting an end date may help.
