Greetings!

I have Outlook 2007 used as a POP3 client. I have many annual recurring
events. All of a sudden they don't show up in the Day/Week/Month view or the
Day/Week/Month with Auto Preview view.

Oddly enough the events do show up when I use the Annual Events view.

So, the events are still in Outlook but not displayed in the normal and
useful way to me. One other tidbit...I sync Outlook to my Windows Mobile 6
phone and the annual events don't show up on my phone now either.

Any suggestions? I tried to reset the Day/Week/Month with Auto Preview view
but that didn't help.

Thank you very much for your help!

it's a bug in active sync. There is a hotfix for Exchange server's active
sync (the admin will need to install it) - we're still waiting on a fix for
the client side.

Diane, might you be able to give more insight into this bug or any other
information such as a KB article or something? What are the available fixes?

Also, I only use ActiveSync to sync from my laptop to my phone. My Windows
Mobile phone does not connect to Exchange.

Thanks for your response!

I don't know too much about it other than they identified a bug in active
sync for exchange and Exchange released a hotfix for the server and we're
waiting for a fix for non-exchange users. I've asked about the status a few
times and no one knows- possibly because it will come from activesync, not
outlook (and I don't have contacts in activesync/mobile area).

If you avoid editing appointments on the device it may fix the problem for
future events but AFAIK, you can't fix old events- you'll need to redo them.
Also, setting an end date may help.

Same thing happened to me today, and I've been syncing without a problem
(Vista to Winmo 6.1 with Windows Mobile Device Centre) for months. The
problem only occurred today, after syncing (1-way, laptop to web) with google
calendars.

However, it seems to have been solved by giving each annual appointment a
100-year limit, rather than being un-ending. Luckily I only had 25 or so
anniversaries to edit!

And of course, I'm assuming that none of those people live longer than 100.
Or that I don't, in which case it won't matter anyway...
