Annoying Toolbar in Outlook 2003

I installed Norton Internet Security 2004 a few days back, and I am having
trouble with the spam tool bar.

THe inbuilt spam filter in outlook is good enough for use, and I don't need
the one provided by norton, so I disable it from my toolbar. I now find that
it comes back in my outlook every few restarts of my program. The same thing
use to happen with the acrobat toolbar.

I want to perm get rid of the toolbars!

any clues?

IN Outlook, View - Toolbars - and then uncheck the annoying one and OK.

Problem is, this may be more of an issue with Norton than with Outlook. It
may have entered something in the registry to reinitiate the toolbar even if
you deactivate it. Perhaps the Norton newsgroup or the help files in Norton
can help there.

Another less elegant but workable solution is to customize the Norton
Toolbar to contain all the buttons for one of the groups that you otherwise
have up. Then delete the old group and live with a couple of extra icons
(rather than an entire toolbar).

Good luck!

lookup via regedit the HKLM\Software\...... settings for the Norton and
delete them (make backup of key first)
