If Don's suggestions don't work, then you'll need to edit the registry to
get rid of it.
Start...Run...Regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
Delete the "BackBitmap" key.
Only edit the registry if you are comfortable doing so and know how to
back-up and restore your registry in case of problems developing afterwards.
Or you can use this little freeware program that could help you remove it
and any other left-over branding:
