annoying 'blooping' sound

Hi there

I installed Norton Utilities briefly a while back, but
since I uninstalled it (I'm pretty sure it dates from
then), on certain web pages I get a series (sometimes
one, sometimes 10) of annoying 'blooping' sounds. It
seems to some sort of advisory sound, warning me that
there are pop-ups or cookies or something on the page.
Whatever it is, it is very annoying. Any ideas how I can
get rid of it? I think it might be related to NU
installation, but that may be a red herring.

Your help appreciated.

Gareth C.

I've seen a lot of posts in which PestPatrol is the source of annoying
"boink", "bop" "plopping" and other noises. It's when popus are blocked, I
think. It's worth a look.
