Tom,

We have all MS products at work, and I have XP Pro at home.
But I am really reluctant to install XP SP2. I've heard a lot of
ugly things about losing connections and other nasties.

I have installed Windows XP SP2 recently and only experienced one problem:
Nero Burning Rom 5.* refused to burn multisession CDs after Windows XP SP2
was installed...

BTW: Tools like Microsoft VirtualPC or VMWare can be used to create virtual
machines that run on your computer. Really cool for testing...

Great. That's exactly what I'm afraid of. I use NBR 5 too.

I have VPC2004 at work. Cool. I have my old Delphi development machine
on one, and VS2005 on another.

That is a weired misunderstanding often made. I have seen in past computers
that had more RAM than was addressable. Just because the salesman was better
than the guy who had to buy them.

It is not a definition of "better".

However explain for me.

The salesman sold more than his customer needed and his customer was happy
with it.

The customer (a computer specialist) was buying something he did not need,
however he did not know that and was happy because he could say that he had
a computer with a lot of memory.

Do you have a "better" word for me to tell who was "better" in his job?

I have seen in this newsgroup often seen used the word "better" in an
stranger way.
