The next San Diego .Net User Group meeting is Tuesday, January 25 at the
Scripps Ranch Library.

Paul D. Sheriff is the President of PDSA, Inc. (

Partner in Southern California. Paul acts as the Microsoft Regional
Director for Southern California assisting the local Microsoft offices with
Developer Days and several of their large events each year. Paul has

Next Day of .NET Conference in May:
Following three successful Day of .NET Conferences in 2004, the first
conference for 2005 will be held in May. The conference will cover Web
Services and SQL Server 2005, formerly known as Yukon. We will announce
more details in the near future.

This position requires an engineer capable of making significant
contributions throughout the software development lifecycle. As a hands-on
developer for one or more the company's core software products, the Software
Engineer will participate in all tasks related to requirements gathering,
risk analysis, unit testing, and software implementation.
The Software Engineer position requires experience with commercial Windows
development using Visual C++. Secondary responsibilities include
browser-based user interface development (DHTML), COM implementation, XML
data manipulation, and emerging technology evaluation.
In addition to technical proficiency, strong communication and interpersonal
skills are required, as this person will work in a highly collaborative
environment. The Software Engineer will interact with many teams throughout
the organization and participate in continual investigation of process
improvement strategies.

Directions to the Next Meeting
Please join us at 6:00 pm for pizza and networking, and 6:30 for the
meeting. The meeting is held at

Meetings cost $10 for non-members but are free to all members. Membership
is a tax-deductible $50 donation for one year and includes free attendance
to eleven meetings.
If the main parking lot is crowded, you can drive to the "back" parking lot.
To get to the back lot, instead of turning left on Scripps Lake Drive, don't
turn left until Meanley Dr. There is a lot at the end of the cul-de-sac
with the library at the far end of a short well-lit walkway. See map below.
