What is FreeRIP:
FreeRip is a free and easy-to-use application that can record digital audio
tracks directly from compact discs to PC files. You can save CD audio tracks
to CD-quality WAV files or encode them to Ogg Vorbis or MP3 compressed audio
formats. It also can convert and encode audio files from and to WAV, MP3,
and OGG formats. FreeRip also lets you adjust track volume and supports
FreeDB and ID3 tagging. Moreover, FreeRip includes a music search bar.
What's new in version 2.90:
-Fixed a problem in Automatic Gain Control that determined clipping on
certain audio files
-Fixed a problem with MP3 CBR generation: now FreeRIP does no more generate
a VBR header in CBR MP3 files
-Raised up to 256 the tracks per CD that FreeRIP can handle (previous limit
was 100)
-Added local CD info database
-Added an option to disable NT Mode scsi bus access and force FreeRIP to use
WNASPI mode
-Added Internationalization (multi language) support
-Added Italian language file
-Added French language file
-Added German language file
-Fixed a problem in filling multi line comment box in Raw and Multi track
extractors
-Now FreeRIP saves columns width of the main window
-Fixed a minor problem in check-update module
