Hi to all!

Some time ago I had a problem with re-installing Actual Title Buttons
Lite (always on top / Roll up of program's windows), and I contacted
the author (Michael Tretyakov).

It turned out that ATBL was no longer available from the ActualTools
web site. Since I see ABTL as a really nice and lightweight utility
program, I asked the author (Michael Tretyakov) whether he would object
to the program being made available through my own web site. A few days
later I received a message from him telling that he had no objections,
under the condition that I would point out clearly that there would be
no support for the program from ActualTools.

The program is ready for download from the site now, the page can be
accessed in two ways:

1. From the special downloads menu at http://www.hazeleger.net

2. Directly from: http://www.hazeleger.net/special/atbl.htm

Please note that I, nor anyone else associated with the site, will
provide support for the program; i.o.w. you're on your own.

I have asked Michael Tretyakov to provide a registration code for the
program, so far I haven't heard from him, but as soon as I have
received one, it will be published on the same page as the download,
without any form to fill.

Regards to all;
Dick

Actual Title Buttons Lite 2.8
roll-up windows

Registration is free.

Actual Title Buttons Lite lets you add new Rollup/Unroll and Stay on Top
buttons to any windows title bar. The `Stay on Top` option brings the
window to the top of the desktop and RollUp/Unroll lets you minimize
windows so that only the title bars remain visible. The new buttons
integrate smoothly with the existing maximize/minimize buttons and they
can be configured to show only on the applications you choose.
Registration is free.

Though http://www.mywebattack.com/gnomeapp.php?id=107115 talks about the
Lite version ( atbLsetup.exe ) , the links point ( redirect to ) to the
full version ATBSETUP.EXE.

The lite versions still appears to be on the main site
at http://www.actualtools.com/files/

atblsetup.exe 05-Aug-2003 20:33 1.5M
atblsetup.xml 05-Aug-2003 20:11 11k

Hi Colin,

WRONG!

When you view the http://www.actualtools.com/files/ directory
atblsetup.exe shows this link:

http://www.actualtools.com/files/atblsetup.exe

try to download and the link *redirects* to:

http://www.actualtools.com/files/atbsetup.exe (1802 KB) (v 2.8)

FWIW the license agreement says in part:

<q>
2. Permitted Uses and Restrictions. This License allows you to install
and use the unregistered version of the Software for a reasonable period
of time for the purpose of determining whether the Software is suitable
for your needs. The use of the full version of the Software requires
registration.
</q>

The license for v 2.0 liteware => atblsetup.exe (1581 KB) says exactly
the same thing. . .

I believe I've about reached the point of "Frankly, my dear, I don't
give a damn" what kind of ware this is. . .

Susan

Only people who have a special awareness realize that and avoid
downloading the non-freeware version.

But there is a danger with such redirection tricks.

An "awareness elite" could form and more naturally reacting people could
be led to download the payware version without realizing it.

Then they show up here and ask questions about the payware version..

Then we would have to tell them: Frankly, my dear..

So true Roger; I only "looked" but I didn't "see"; quite unlike my original
training -- I must be getting out of the habit....
All the best ,
Colin

no. obviously, susan never considered that the snapflies (webattack) link
hasn't been updated. (that's the link she is talking about but Dick clearly
states that the lite version can only be downloaded from his site)
