This might be a wild shot but does anybody have an animation of a Tornado.
Preferably just spinning, not moving around. I would like to use the
animation on a website of a soccer team. The name of the team is the
Tornados.

Thanks

You do realize that an animated GIF created by someone else is their
property, and you
cannot legally (or morally) just download and use it, don't you? Most folks
will grant you
permission to use their work, but you certainly should ask.

If I download it from a free download site where animated GIF's are said to
be free. Then I figure it is safe for me to use for whatever reason I need.
It saves me time from recreating everything from scratch.

It is also why, my original email, asks if anyone has the GIF file already
created that I can use.

Thanks

Legally......you can use any image publicly posted on the internet on your
web page. You cannot, however claim that image as your own creation if it
is NOT! If asked by an outside source you must reveal the creator, or the
location in which you pulled said image from. There are many legal battles
going on out there currently in regards to this specific topic. So....there
is no legal issues...just moral.....if you claim it as your own....stand by
to back it up when the originator comes by to claim his acknowledgments!
)

Good Day,
Carl

You can not legally use any content (image, text, etc.) you see on any web site on your web site, as
that is copyright infringement without obtaining permission from the copyright owner.

Every item posted on the internet is the copyright property of the person that created it, even the
post made in this newsgroup are the copyright property of the author of the post.

When thinking about using images found on web sites that claim to offer copyright free images, you
must think carefully, as you do not know how they came to having those images and if they are truly
free to use.

I appreciate all the advice. I do not intend to claim credit for anything.
I simply wanted a gif file and that file has been shared to me already in
addition to a FREE WEBSITE that gave me a gif file for use.

You guys are reading way to much into a simple request for an animated gif
file.
Let it go!
