Hi There,
I deleted a screensaver, ecard and animated cursor site from
my computer and noticed right away my computer runs faster. I looked
this company up on the internet and found that they are either known to
have adware, spyware or deposit a large amount of tracking cookies on
your computer. Can anyone recommend a safe animated cursor and ecard
site?
Thank You Very Much,
Willoughby

In general - 'cutesy stuff' like that attracts the people who want to infest
machines - because they assume the owners of said systems are not 'computer
aware' and will be more apt to not even know they are infested.

Hi There,
Thanks very much for your reply but i have one other
question. Would you think that an online company like American Greeting
Cards could be safe because Mcafee's site advisor gives it a green
light? If you absolutely give it a thumbs down i will not ask this
question again and that will tell me not to trust anyone.
Thank You Very Much Mr.
Stanley,
Willoughby

I would not trust it merely because 'McAfee' gives it a green light.

I would be more likely to trust it knowing it is a large company - whose
profits would be hurt (since their reputation would be hurt) if they did
anything 'underhanded'...

You also could use Google to research and find reviews on such things - this
is the best method to prevent infestation through such thing. Extensive
research on any product/company before you go about 'trusting' them.

Search using Google!

Dear Mr. Stanley,
Thank you for your second reply. I have done some
research already but it really boils down to how much you can trust the
company that Mcafee site advisor recommends and i guess i will have to
be the one to make that choice.
Thanks For All Your Help,
Willoughby
