In the report wizard it gives the option to group by date but not a start and
end date. Is there a way to do this through the wizard or does the report
have to be wriiten manually.
The field is date time format

Thanks for any help

Not sure what you mean by "written manually" ...

If you base your report on a query, rather than a table, you can use
selection criteria in the query to limit records to a date range.

It sounds like you want to filter by date. The wizard supports grouping by
which has nothing to do with filtering. Group By takes the same records but
sorts and aggregates them.

You can supply filtering/criteria using a number of different methods. I
prefer to allow users to enter dates into controls on forms.
