This problem is happening on two different clients systems.
a. Outlook 2003 emails are received thru Exchange 2003 on W2K3.
b. Outlook 2007 emails are received thru Exchange 2003 on W2K3.
The "faulty emails" are generated and sent via smtp from within the same
application.
The same Email received to a Linux mail server and then displayed using
Thundrebird presents correctly.

These emails which are received from the application mentioned above, do not
show FROM &/or CC details; but when you get that emails properties the FROM &
CC details are showing.
Cant find where the details are being suppressed.
Turned off Email Scanning on the AV (AVG Internet Security Network Edition)

Any ideas greatfully received.

OL 2007 reads from Exch2003 to an OST file on WXPP SP3
The details listed below are for OL 2007 but the same Outlook screen
displays apply in OL 2003.
These emails are displayed in Outlook 2007 (12.0.6316.5000) SP1 MSO
(12.0.6320.5000).

Inbox - column headers being: From, Subject, Received, Size, Category, In
Folder

a. viewed in Main Inbox as a List, with View pane = bottom
From: Column = blank
Display in the Bottom View Box= SUBJECT is correct, TO is correct, SENT
is correct; no CC line id displayed

b. Open the Email to full page view
From Column = Blank, CC Column = blank
SUBJECT is correct, TO is correct, SENT is correct

Clearly you've supplied your own answer. The "friendly name" or "Display As"
field for these incoming messages are purposely set to a null string (the two
quote marks with nothing between them) for each address. Outlook displays the
friendly name, not the email address, when it displays a message. Your other
mail clients are programmed differently and display not only the friendly name
but the smail address. You said an application denerates these messages.
Code the application to not include a null string as the friendly name, either
leaving the "" out of the address field altogether or putting some characters
between the quotes.
