analyzing word documents with perl/ dotnet?

hi..

i have a small project which i'm required to analyze word documents
extract certain parts and place them in a file..

i know perl is a natural at this, but i'm rather reluctent in using it
becouse, it's not very clear, i'm not so sure how stable is it's active
lib for handling office..

on other hand i have dotnet with also has regexp, and can handle
without handle office.
