How to analyze a drive if not an Administrator

I've deleted a ton of files from my C: drive then emptied the Recycle
Bin.

Since I'm not an administrator, Disk Defragmenter says "You must have
Administrator privileges to defragment a volume".

Can I "Analyze" the drive without "Defragmenting" it?

Did you try? If you did, and it won't let you, you can't.

And you're running Windows XP? And you don't have an account with
Administrative permissions? Is it XP Home or Pro?

You have The Administrator account. You can access it either in Safe
Mode or by using Ctrl+Alt+Del at the Welcome screen. I assume you set a
password for the Administrator account? If not, set one.

You should be given the choice to log into your or The Administrator
account at the Welcome Screen. You do know how to go to Safe Mode, right?
