Hi,
I have a digital TV Card (DVB-S 1.6) and a Asus P4C800-Deluxe
Mainboard with onboard (Soundmax AD1985) sound. I'm using the coax
digital Out to send Sound-Data to my external 6.1 Yamaha Receiver.
There is a Headset connected to the line-out (green) jack, too. The
DVB-S has got a line-out which is connected to the line-in of the
sound card. This connection is used when watching TV with an analog
Sound. When watching TV with digital sound it is given through the
PCI-Bus to the sound-card.
Everything is working fine but when i'm watching TV with analog sound,
only the green Sound Ouput is playing the TV-Sound back (Headset).
Nothing is coming out from the digital coax-out. I tried every setting
imaginable but i does not get it working.
Every other playback through this digital out is working fine but TV.
As it seems the soundchip is not able to convert analog sound input
and give it out digitally in realtime, is it? Or is it just a problem
with my settings?
I used a Creative Soundblaster Live 5.1 Player before and with that it
worked.
Thanks for help
