What you are dealing with is that the ram bus increases with the FSB, so
all you really need is ram fast enough to run when you choose the lowest
setting for it and then add the FSB increase to it. So PC3200 should be
fast enough in any case. The X2 3800 has a default setting of 10x200, so
changing the FSB to 240 would give you 2400MHz. You'd also need to lower
the HT multiplier from 5x to 4x, and lower the base ram bus to 166 to
account for the increase that increasing the FSB causes. Other than maybe
having to raise vcore, that's it in a nutshell. the only problem with this
is thqat the X2 has 2 cores pulling data from ram that doesn't have any
more bandwidth than a single core does. So you might want to consider some
really fast ram and leaving the ram bus as high as it'll go, although you
won't notice a lot of difference overall. So minimum PC3200, max ???.
