AMD MB Recommendation

I've got an old AMD XP2000 Palomino that's without a motherboard after my
other half's PC died a terrible death. She doesn't use it for much beyond
basic web, office and CAD, so I'm keen to keep it kicking for a ittle
longer.

I've also got an AGP (x2?) radeon 7200 and 1 gig of PC133 SDRAM. The old
motherboard was an Iwill KK266, so something of that vintage that I can pick
up on ebay would be ideal. Any recommendations?

I have a nice little Asus A7V-400 MX SE board running the same CPU, but
with DDR ram. If you want to use the PC133 you'll be wanting a very
different board, like an ECS K7S5A or similar that can use PC133 with a
socketA CPU of the type you have.

Ari

Having used the ECS K7S5A and having it flake out on me after a year of use
to suddenly not recognize the hard drive and then reading about other users
crap outs of this board to not hold its bios settings, I would be hard
pressed to recommend it to anyone.

I replaced it with a mb from MSI and have had no trouble with the system for
about 18 months at this point.

Which MSI board? The OP wants to search for it on Ebay.

MSI KT6V-LSR

At the time I picked it up from Newegg for $58

It's no longer available from them.

It's a shame socket A boards aren't around anymore. Technology marches
on I guess. I've had two from gigabyte with bad caps, but everything
else was fine!

I agree with SteveH, please find a non-comercial way to post here.
