Oops, looks like there's some confusion over at AMD about what it's
going to do with the ATI brand.

Custom PC: News: AMD stays hand over ATi brand axe
"What's clear from all this is that ATi will have no part in the overall
name of the company after the takeover, but it's possible that AMD will
continue to use the ATi brand, as well as the Radeon brand, for specific
product lines. What's also clear is that mixed messages are not only
being given to the press, but also to the employees of both ATi and AMD."

Those are local UK AMD guys -- Richard Baker is the Channel Marketing
Manager EMEA -- so I'm not sure they should be shooting their mouth of like
that to the "press". Sounds like they need a well placed heavy boot.

FWIW, this fellow says the whole idea of dropping ATi brand is false.
