I have this crappy chip/mobo in my PC right now:
• AMD Athlon 1200MHz Processor(200MHz FSB, 256K L2 Cache)
• M810LMR Socket A Ultra/ATA100 ATX Motherboard

Will it work in this motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...115-006&depa=0

The New Mobo Supports this:
CPU Support: AMD Athlon XP (Socket A, Max.FSB 333)

I ask because I want to upgrade my chip later, but would like to take
advantage of the new motherboard capabilities now.

Any response would be great.

Yes, you can use your 1.2GHz Athlon and most any of the newest Socket A(462)
Athlons.

No problems, it will work fine.

Yes your current processor will work, as well most current AthlonXP
chips. It's rather unlikely that it will support any future chips,
given that this "new" bare-bones system is already somewhat dated, but
the price is pretty reasonable. You could combine this setup with one
of the dirt-cheap AthlonXP 2500+ or 2600+ processors (Newegg has those
on for $80 and $90 respectively) and you would have a decently fast
system. The graphics card on this setup is a bit weak if you plan on
playing any games on the system, though it's a lot better than what
you've got now.
