Hi Gordon - thanks for your reply. Yes I did. I stayed up all last night
and in in last resort I sorted the spreadsheet using the column that was not
imported as the key - and lo & behold it finally imported everything! This
is NOT a user-friendly program to say the least!. Thanks for your help and
interest Gordon, I appreciate the fact that while doing battle with microsoft
programs there's someone out there who is willing to listen.
