A error message occurs when I try to delete an email from my inbox. It
states that Outlook cannot delete email.

What type of mail account do you have? Are you using personal folders (a
PST)? If so, was this PST created in an older version of Outlook? If that's
the case, what size is that PST file? Older versions of Outlook (2002 and
earlier) have a maximum size limit of 2 GB but can become kind of flakey
right around the 1.6 GB mark or a bit bigger. You can try to compact it if
that's the case.

I am using Outlook Express 6 and don't have that many emails stored to reach
any size limit. I have tried to compact and that won't work either.

You should ask the experts in the Outlook Express newsgroup in that case.
Outlook Express isn't supported here and it's not related to Microsoft
Outlook in spite of the similarity in name. OE is part of Internet Explorer,
not Microsoft Office.
