I don't know if this is a word problem computer problem or an idio
problem. Although it is most likely the last of my guesses I will tak
a chance on the problem anyhow..

Everytime I type in my word document my cursor will jump around th
page. As I type a sentance the cursor will jump back into a previou
paragraph and if I don't pay attention I will overwrite things...

I know this is a stupid question, but how can I fix it?

Is this a laptop? Keep the heel of your hand off the touchpad.
Also check that you you don't have speech recognition active or the
microphone turned on!
