In process of archiving my outloook (2003) mail things, my portable hard
drive was disconneted. Now my outbound mail that was being archived cant be
accessed. There is a 462 meg file on my portable hard drive that is the file
but I cannot figure out how to restore it. When I direct to import that file
back into my outlook, it says there is no file there. I am at a loss as to
what to do next. Is there a file redo or undelete or back up step I can do?
I have never posted here so not sure but thought I would ask.

Use File > Open as Brian has advised. Also, here's a link to excellent
