this didn't used to be true on this computer but has been for the last
few weeks. if I run MSAS it always starts with the Setup Assistant. I
went through it a couple times but now I just click Cancel.
Both the Scan Schedule and the AutoUpdate are In-active. I can make
either of them active but it doesn't stick. That is, I can make either
active but the next time I run the program neither is active. If I
manually run the update and then scan, no problems are found.

I am not having this issue on my other 3 computers, they seem to work as
expected.

Any ideas?

This problem is happening with my computer as well. I
have tried following the reply to the post but the first
link i installed and it didn't work and the second link
didn't work

Does anyone know what i can do to make the program
automatically open without the need of always typing the
information at the beginning

Thanks

as Robert said, second link doesn't work.

MSAS worked correctly on this computer for quite a while, its just in
the last few weeks that it doesn't.

Os = XP Pro SP2

re-installed after running Cleanup and things seem to be back to normal.

Thanks, I had that program but completely forgot about it.
