"Always Hide" doesn't stick

On the right of the task bar are the notification icons.
I use the taskbar properties and set my "Local Area
Connection..." (my network) to "Always Hide".
Unfortunately this doesn't stick and each time I reboot
the icon re-appears. I do not have this problem with
other icons that I set to "Always Hide".

Any ideas on how to fix this?
