I am using Outlook 2000. Recently the mail delivery box pops up every minute
to show the mail delivery though I have check marked "always hide this dialog
box".

Any suggestions. When it pops up I have to stop what I'm doing every minute
to click on the close button.

What status bar? The bar across the bottom of my screen is showing. It used
to show an e-mail envelope to let me know mail was here, now it is constantly
sending and receiving mail for some reason.

That's the one I meant. I've seen reports here that if the status bar is
NOT showing, then the Progress window will show no matter the setting of the
"Don;t show" option. I guess I don't have any suggestions.

I had the status bar locked. I have changed it to see if that helped, but it
did not.

It is driving me crazy. It has been popping up constantly and wonder if it
could have something to do with adding AOL as an IMAP so I could get my AOL
mail?

At any rate, it was popping up before that constantly over the last few
weeks at least once a minute to say that it could not connect with Adelphia.
Now with AOL it pops up over and over and I have to keep hitting hide. It
shouldn't be showing at all. It is driving me nuts. While I was typing this
it popped up three times.

A development that I wanted to share. Yesterday afternoon I went through the
newly setup AOL account. I unchecked the box that says always check for mail
or something like that. It still constantly popped the window up.

However, this morning I noticed that I am not getting the dialog box
anymore. I am going to keep watch and see if it returns. All I did was
lengthen the Outlook window to the bottom of the screen this morning and
don't know if that had anything to do with it. I'll try reversing one thing
at a time to see if it returns. Very odd.
