Hello there,

My computer has recently developed a nasty habit where if I am running any
program, a popup will appear after a minute or two, telling me the program
has run into a problem and must close. It also tells me that I can report
the error to Microsoft or not.

However, when you click on either of the buttons, the Error message promptly
goes away... but the program is fine, and continues to run perfectly without
any issues at all.

This happens everytime I start using a porgam, and the messages can take
anywhere from a minute to half an hour to appear, but they always pop up.

I am using Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004.

Unfortunately, we don't really know enough to give you focused help.
Here are general places to start troubleshooting:

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time
things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the
malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what
programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?

Be sure the computer is clean:

Look in Event Viewer for clues:
Start>Run>eventvwr.msc [enter]

If the machine is virus/malware-free and there are no errors in Event
Viewer, you may be having hardware problems (although it doesn't sound
like that).
