How can we startup always with enable vga without having
to tap F8 key

Mine looks like

Change the line so it looks so
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /basevideo

I use /sos which shows extra info (though too fast to read) while booting. The point here is the adding of /basevideo.
