Alternatives when users don't have Date Time Picker?

I am using Outlook 2000 (SR-1) on a Corporate network under Windows 2000.
I added a Date Time Picker control to a custom Task form, but some of my users
don't have this control on their machines. I could easily use a text box (or
3) to
enable the entry of a date, but the control is much nicer.

How have other people managed the entry of dates when not all users have the
control? Sorry if this is a simple-minded question.

Regards,

Andrew C. Ward
