Start Search can be used to start most programs. Click on the orb, start
typing, when the program is at the top of the list press the Enter key or
click on it.

The same thing, and you can find it in most of the same places. One of the
easiest is to hold down the Windows key and press "R."

You have plenty of good replies, but the start type run allows you to right
click and select run as administrator, which you need for many functions.

Hi,

To place the Run command onto the right side of the Start Menu, Right click
on the Start Button and select Properties.
On the Start Menu tab click on the top most Customize... button.
In the Customize Start Menu dialog box, scroll down and put a check next to
"Run command".
Click OK twice.

Just right click on the start button and choose classic menu and run
will be there every time you click the start button.

Right click on the start button, select "Customize" and check the "Show
Run Command" box.
