I'm trying to get a Win98 machine networked to an XP Pro machine, and
can't get it to work.
The current roadblock appears to be that on the XP Pro machine, in the
"Home Network Properties" window, the checkbox associated with the
"File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" entry has the
checkmark, but is also "greyed".
If I select that entry and hit the "Install" button, up pops a "Select
Network Component Type" window, with "Client", "Service", and
"Protocol" entries (this is probably no surprise to most reading this
post ;-) ).
If I then select *any* of Client, Service or Protocol and then "Add",
I then get a message to the effect of "Unable to find any drivers for
this device. Have a disk?"
Is there a way to get the drivers without doing something like a
"repair install"?
