I'm struggling with the reinstallation of one of my laptops. The laptop (an
older unit) has been running Windows 2000 but is becoming a bit sluggish and
is in need of a reinstall. The trouble is the cd drive on the laptop doesn't
seem to want to work (I get all sorts of read errors regardless of the disc
inserted). I was thinking it would be nice to find a way to install by
network but I don't have Win2K server installed on any of the machines here.
Is there a way to do a network deployment from another computer/OS. The
options immediately available are WinXP Pro, and Linux but I'm open to other
suggestions. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

You can create the integrated installation media and install from there.

Thanks for the reply. Will it be possible to delete and recreate the
partitions this way? Whenever possible I like to start totally from 0. Thanks!
