Currently, when making slides in PowerPoint, if you highlight text and then
use the button on the tool bar to increase or decrease your font size, it
moves in jumps of 4 sizes... eg 26 to 30. I would like very much to have
this only jump 2 sizes at a time... eg 26 to 28. Is there a registry edit,
or setup alteration I can make to facilitate this change?

No but there's a handy (and free) addin that includes the ability to do this
among other things.

See http://starterset.pptools.com

Especially check the Text Tools section here:
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptools/sta...t/FAQ00011.htm

It explains how to set the text size up/down amount.
