Hi-

I get a string of unknown characters listed next to the alphabetical index
in my contacts view w/ in Outlook. Any suggestion how to get rid of it? I
just want the english letters/ alphabet there.

Thanks-

At the bottom of the alphabetical index you'll see a button. Click it
and change to "None". You probably just enabled (inadvertently) one of
the International display options.
