I am using Outlook 2007 version : 12.0.4518.1014
I would like to suggest that Microsoft consider placing the preview pane on
a seperate thread (it may be already but it behaves like it is not).
The reason for this is that I like to use the preview pane (after all - why
should I need to open a seperate window just to read an email?) but if the
content of an email is quite rich (e.g. a newsletter) it can take an age to
render in the preview pane and all other activity in Outlook seems to stop
while it is thrashing away at this task.
It would be nice if Outlook recognised that if I move off the current email
(or if I delete it), it should stop trying to render the display immediately
and allow me to move on to the next email.
It does not.
This is infuriating and should be a relatively quick fix IMHO.
