Allow remote shutdown

i wish to shutdown a remote PC (Workgroup) by shutdown -m command.

but i get access denied in dos prompt

i can see the remote shares

i wonder it is policy settings because i can do it in Domain PCs

Grateful if any advices. Thanks.

Hello Tony,

You said it is a workgroup pc. SO you have to specify an local administrative
account to use for the shutdown. Your Domain rights doesn't help you in a
workgroup.
