Hello, there.

I have a InkJet printer connected through an USB port to a Windows XP
Pro SP2 worktation.

Currently only administrator can manage its queue (stop jobs, delete
pending jobs, et cetera).

I want to give normal (limited) user accounts the permissions necessary
to manage that queue. Do I have to create a new group?
How can I accomplish that?

Thanks in advance.

Give the everyone group Manage Documents rights in printer properties
Security . Then anyone can delete anyone else's job anytime. If you can
trust Everyone change this.

A security group with just the users you add allows better controls.

This is on the Security tab of the printer properties. If the security tab
is not visible, turn off "Simple File sharing" in the explorer process. If
it still not visible, hold down the shift key , then right click on the
printer and select properties.

Thank you, Alan.

Can you please give a clue on where to begin doing such things?
I tried the Management Console but couldn't find how to affect printers.
Also right-clicked the printer properties but can't assign users'
permission.

Regards,
