I would like to integrate my PC with my tv/home theater. I do have a
digital TV (not hi-def though). Is the All in Wonder 9800 pro really what
I'm looking for if I want to :
record my satellite signals to HD for viewing or DVD burning later?
output web surfing to tv instead of monitor?
record vcr tapes to HD or DVD burner?
any info is helpful - many thanks

I'd recommend a DVD recorder with HD and DVD burner instead - e.g. the
new Pioneer DVR-5100H. You can record from TV onto the HD, and then
víew it larter or burn selected material onto DVD. Very easy to work
with, and it creates menus and everything automatically.

I plan on buying one myself. I already have a Philips DVDR 890 DVD
recorder, and it's really great, but with a HD also the editing
capabilities becomes much better, plus that HD can record hundreds of
times more than a laser device, before it's worn out and has to be
replaced.

No more capture cards to me. This is a much better solution, and
without all the hassles there is with PC equipment!
